Course Summary
Accounting is the science that deals with the recording of financial transactions, their summarization, and the preparation and analysis of Financial Statements. It is divided into Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting. Accounting courses are important for students who wish to pursue a career as a professional accountant/auditor (in both small businesses and large accounting/auditing firms) as well as for students who aspire to follow other career paths because it helps develop essential skills such as data analysis and critical thinking, as well as an understanding of economic reality.
