Course Summary

The BSc in Information Systems at EUC equips students with the knowledge and skills to develop, program and manage information systems, mobile and web applications and websites. An interdisciplinary program, the Information Systems courses give you skills to integrate the hardware and software, the people and the business strategy of an organization into an effective and efficient resource that serves the economy and society. The program is closely linked to the Microsoft Innovation Center at EUC and its partner organizations exposing students to the latest industry trends and enabling them to collaborate with, support or create start-ups.  Students gain hands-on experience and marketable skills through wide-ranging local and international projects and internships. The degree enables one to understand the integration of technology, strategy and people—a valued qualification in every organization.

How to apply

The general admission requirement for all undergraduate programs is the successful completion of the secondary education cycle.

  1. A completed application form together with a non-refundable fee of €52. 
  2. Official copy of High School Leaving Certificate and grade marksheet in English
  3. Proof of English language proficiency (if any)*
  4. Copy of a valid passport (for international applicants only)

Student classification – as freshman, sophomore, junior or senior – depends upon the number of ECTS successfully completed. The ECTS for each classification are:

121-180 ECTS

180 or more ECTS

 

Students may register as part-time or full-time, depending on ECTS per semester and period of study.

 Requirements for full-time students: 

*Fall and Spring Semester: up to 30 ECTS

*Summer Session: up to 15 ECTS

Additional entry requirements

The general admission requirement for all undergraduate programs is the successful completion of the secondary education cycle. All applicants will need to submit the following documents to the Office of Admissions

English language requirements

Knowledge of the English language is not a requirement for admission. At European University Cyprus, applicants whose native language is not English take the university’s English Placement Test (EPT) upon arrival at the university to indicate their English level and be placed in appropriate courses. Applicants who have passed either the TOEFL examination with a minimum score of 550 (213 computer-based, 79 Internet-based), English IGCSE with grade ‘C’ or above, or IELTS with a score of 6.5 or above are exempted from the EPT. Other external exams may be accepted by the Language Center of the University as equivalent. Please consult with the Office of Admissions for more details. Candidates, whose English proficiency is not up to the university’s standard, have the opportunity to take additional English language classes according to their degree requirements.
