Aim of the meeting: The student and the counselor will get to know each other, discuss for any problems and worries might appear and set up a goal where the student should try to meet during the sessions.
 
 
1st Meeting: 25 minutes
    • Introduction meeting with the student
    • Α questionnaire is given which should be answered by the student and the parent/guardian
    • Discussion concerning the student's views, interests and concerns
    • Τhe student is given the option to take the Ariston Psychometric Tool, to identify professional aptitudes, abilities, and personality traits.
    • Provide alternative vocational interests and occupational areas that are fully compatible with the reports of the student’s personality.
 
Aim: The student should be able to discuss personal interests/personality traits and needs in more depth. Create critical thinking, better understand their skills and abilities and have a clear idea of what academic pathway should follow
 
2nd Meeting: 45 minutes
    • Ariston Psychometric Tool Results Analysis
    • Suggested options are summarized and organized based on the student's interests, abilities, and skills.
    • The results and career/academic options will be sent via email to the student for reflection until the next meeting.
Aim: The student will have an almost complete academic pathway to follow. Recognize job market attributes and can cross-match them with its strengths and weaknesses. The counselor and the student will form a plan for selecting appropriate OCG.
 
3rd Meeting: 45 minutes
  • Guidelines are given for the correct selection of group orientation courses (OCG).
  • List of detailed information about fields of study and career opportunities in the labor market.
  • Information brochures are given with course descriptions and study branches related to the Orientation Course Group (OCG) that will be selected.

    • Student’s questions about personality characteristics and interests will be answered
    • Define your short-term and long-term goals, as well as develop a realistic plan to achieve them.
    • List of options for fields of study that falls into the scientific fields of interest and frameworks for Universities
    • Timely and detailed information on the universities and study programs offered in Cyprus, Greece and Abroad as long as they fall in the selected Orientation Course Group (OCG).

  • Suggested options are summarized and organized based on the student's interests, abilities, and skills.
  • Guidance for completing the computerized form of the Pancyprian Examinations
  • Prioritization in order of preference for fields of study in Universities of Cyprus, Greece and Abroad
  • Explore the option for studying in Private Universities and Institutes of Cyprus.
  • All the necessary information with descriptions of courses in the chosen study program are provided via email.
  • Detailed information is provided on the field of study of the student's interest, regarding tuition fees, accommodation costs, documents and admission criteria
Aim: Provide guidance for completing University admission applications (domestic and international) and financial support applications, along with guidance for CV writing and interview preparation.
 
3rd Meeting: 45 minutes
  • Guidance for admission applications to the universities of Cyprus, Greece and abroad
  • Help to proceed with admission applications in a timely manner to Universities
  • Appropriate and timely guidance for filling out applications for financial support (scholarships, student loans, tuition discounts, etc.).
  • Support and assistance in writing your Personal Statement and CV
  • Guidance in the preparation for interviews at Universities (for Medicine students).
