Course Summary

The BBA degree in Business Economics at EUC is an interdisciplinary program encompassing the development of key competencies in economics, accounting and management. In a world of fluctuating markets and challenging business environments, Business Economics trains students to make valuable business decisions in everyday life.  At EUC we will help you to develop a wide range of essential skills such as analytical problem solving, teamwork, research and communicating information. Business Economics is a flexible degree which should appeal to one aiming for a career in business—particularly in finance, banking, accounting or management both in the commercial and public sectors—or for an advanced degree in related fields. Many internship opportunities exist for Business Economics students to begin building a strong CV before graduation.

How to apply

The general admission requirement for all undergraduate programs is the successful completion of the secondary education cycle.

  1. A completed application form together with a non-refundable fee of €52. 
  2. Official copy of High School Leaving Certificate and grade marksheet in English
  3. Proof of English language proficiency (if any)*
  4. Copy of a valid passport (for international applicants only)

Qualification requirements

The general admission requirement for all undergraduate programs is the successful completion of the secondary education cycle. All applicants will need to submit the following documents to the Office of Admissions

Student classification – as freshman, sophomore, junior or senior – depends upon the number of ECTS successfully completed. The ECTS for each classification are:

Freshman

0-60 ECTS

Sophomore

61-120 ECTS

Junior

121-180 ECTS

Senior

180 or more ECTS

 

Students may register as part-time or full-time, depending on ECTS per semester and period of study.

 Requirements for full-time students: 

*Fall and Spring Semester: up to 30 ECTS

*Summer Session: up to 15 ECTS

Additional entry requirements

English language requirements

Knowledge of the English language is not a requirement for admission. At European University Cyprus, applicants whose native language is not English take the university’s English Placement Test (EPT) upon arrival at the university to indicate their English level and be placed in appropriate courses. Applicants who have passed either the TOEFL examination with a minimum score of 550 (213 computer-based, 79 Internet-based), English IGCSE with grade ‘C’ or above, or IELTS with a score of 6.5 or above are exempted from the EPT. Other external exams may be accepted by the Language Center of the University as equivalent. Please consult with the Office of Admissions for more details. Candidates, whose English proficiency is not up to the university’s standard, have the opportunity to take additional English language classes according to their degree requirements.
