Το Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας προσφέρει Διδακτορικό πρόγραμμα στη Νομική που οδηγεί στην απόκτηση Διδακτορικού τίτλου. Το πρόγραμμα είναι σχεδιασμένο να προσφέρει ανώτατου επιπέδου επιστημονική γνώση και να προετοιμάσει τους φοιτητές για επαγγελματική σταδιοδρομία στο χώρο της τριτοβάθμιας διδασκαλίας, στην επιστημονική έρευνα καθώς και στο γνωστικό πεδίο της νομικής, αλλά παράλληλα και να παράσχει αυξημένα εφόδια στο γνωστικό αντικείμενο της νομικής. Στόχος του διδακτορικού προγράμματος είναι η διάπλαση επιστημόνων οι οποίοι θα διεξάγουν έρευνα αιχμής, θα προτείνουν πρωτοποριακές και πρακτικά εφαρμόσιμες λύσεις, κατακτώντας ηγετικές θέσεις στο χώρο της νομικής επιστήμης.
Το πρόγραμμα κατευθύνει τους φοιτητές στη χρήση των πλέον σύγχρονων διεπιστημονικών μεθόδων έρευνας για την παραγωγή και εφαρμογή γνώσης σε θεωρητικό και πρακτικό επίπεδο. Έχει σχεδιαστεί για να παρέχει στους φοιτητές την ευκαιρία να ακολουθήσουν διδακτορικές σπουδές σε τομείς που θα εμπλουτίσουν τις γνώσεις τους γύρω από την νομική επιστήμη. Το πρόγραμμα είναι σχεδιασμένο με τέτοιον τρόπο ώστε να δίνεται η δυνατότητα στους φοιτητές διατριβής τους σε τομείς ιδιαίτερου ενδιαφέροντος, έχοντας ως υπόβαθρο τη γνώση ή/και την εμπειρία τους στη νομική επιστήμη.
Οι απόφοιτοι του διδακτορικού προγράμματος στη νομική θα είναι έτοιμοι να:

Admission to our University is granted under different categories, depending on the student’s qualifications and educational objectives.
Once accepted on the program, students are assigned three supervisors, one main and two secondary, who guide them throughout their studies. There are frequent progress reports to ensure students receive the guidance they need and that they are on track. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with their supervisors at regular intervals. After the course(s) is/are completed successfully, students prepare a final research proposal, which is a detailed document of length 7.500-10.000 words that outlines their research plan, clearly showing theoretical contribution, and methodological approach suggested. When this is approved by the relevant committee, they proceed with their research and register for their thesis.
Starting dates for enrolling on the programs are Fall (October) and Spring (February). The application deadlines are August 31st for Fall entry and January 5th for Spring entry. Specific positions available (by department and by faculty member) are announced on the website, and interested students are advised to check the website regularly for possible new announced positions. To be considered for entry on the doctoral programs the applicant should complete an online application form and submits an initial research proposal. The research proposal is a significant part of the application.

The tuition of €15,000 shown above represents total tuition for 3 years. For each additional academic year
(maximum 3 years), the tuition is €2,000 per year.
