The title awarded upon successful completion of studies in the discipline is the Bachelor's Degree in Music. The branch is registered with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, Assessed - Certified by S.E.K.A.P and Recognized by K.Y.S.A.T.S.

Assessment Method

Examination, Grading, Promotion and Graduation

Continuous assessment, semester exams, annual exams, oral or written, performance in the instruments.

Course performance is graded from 1 to 100. The grade is divided as follows:

0-49 Reject, 50-70 Good, 71-85 Very Good, 86-92 Excellent, 93-100 Distinction

The student completes his studies and receives his degree when he succeeds in the prescribed courses and accumulates the required number of credits.

Final graduation is determined as follows:

First year courses 20%

Second year courses 30%

Third year courses 50%

Fourth year courses 50% of all advanced years.

 


In case the student secures the grade of distinction, it is possible to give awards, which are determined accordingly, after a recommendation of the examination board and a concurring decision of the management.

Transfer of Students

Transfers from other institutions are permitted in the faculty if applicants have good academic standing and come from a recognized institution of higher or higher education in the country of origin.

Successful grades in the courses from the originating schools are recognized by the ARTE Music Academy and the relevant credits are transferred to the transcript as transferable credit teaching units.

How to apply

- Students register with the name stated on their identity card or passport.

- For student registration, the following are required:

a. Completing a registration application

b. Declaration by parents or other person that they are responsible for paying the student's fees.

c. Birth certificate.

d. Payment of the relevant registration fee to the School fund.

e. Certified copy of secondary school leaving certificate or other foreign equivalent certificate, officially recognized by the issuing State.

f. Two photographs.

Conditions of Admission

Entrance Exams

-Students are admitted to the School after entrance exams in organ, harmony and acoustics.

-Each student must be a graduate of a secondary education school, of at least six years of study, or hold another equivalent qualification (A prerequisite for admission to the School is a high school diploma or other equivalent school in Cyprus or abroad).

-Candidates for the entrance exams must a. to complete a relevant application, b. to present the high school diploma.

-Exams take place after August 20 for the first semester or January 20 for the second semester, on a day and time that will be announced in time.

-Exams can also be done on a different date determined in consultation with each candidate.

Scholarships


A student can secure a scholarship, full or partial, if he has obtained distinction in his main subject and in at least four other compulsory subjects of the previous year.
A full or partial scholarship may be awarded to a prospective student with outstanding performance in High School music courses.
A full or partial scholarship can be given to a prospective student with excellent performance on the instrument and in theory while studying at a Conservatory or Music School.
A full or partial scholarship may be awarded to a student who has obtained a high score in their entrance exams.
