Το Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας προσφέρει Διδακτορικό Πρόγραμμα στη Δημόσια Διοίκηση που οδηγεί σε Διδακτορικό (Ph.D.) στη Δημόσια Διοίκηση.
Το πρόγραμμα είναι σχεδιασμένο να προσφέρει επιστημονική γνώση στο ανώτατο ακαδημαϊκό επίπεδο και να προετοιμάσει τους φοιτητές για επαγγελματική σταδιοδρομία στον χώρο της τριτοβάθμιας διδασκαλίας, της επιστημονικής έρευνας και της δημόσιας διοίκησης (Δημόσια Υπηρεσία, Ημικρατικοί Οργανισμοί, Τοπική Αυτοδιοίκηση (Δήμοι και Κοινότητες), Δημόσιοι Οργανισμοί και Φορείς, Μη-Κυβερνητικοί Οργανισμοί). Στόχος του διδακτορικού προγράμματος στη Δημόσια Διοίκηση είναι να παραγάγει επιστήμονες, οι οποίοι θα διεξαγάγουν έρευνα αιχμής, θα προτείνουν πρωτοποριακές και πρακτικά εφαρμόσιμες λύσεις και θα κατακτήσουν ηγετικές θέσεις στον χώρο της δημόσιας διοίκησης. Το πρόγραμμα κατευθύνει τους φοιτητές στη χρήση των πιο σύγχρονων διεπιστημονικών μεθόδων έρευνας για την παραγωγή και εφαρμογή γνώσης σε θεωρητικό και πρακτικό επίπεδο.
Η έρευνα των υποψήφιων διδακτόρων κατευθύνεται σε τομείς άμεσου ενδιαφερόντος στη δημόσια διοίκηση, όπως είναι η στρατηγική ανάλυση και σχεδιασμός, τα δημόσια προγράμματα, η ηλεκτρονική διακυβέρνηση, ο διοικητικός προγραμματισμός και η οργάνωση των δημοσίων υπηρεσιών, η άσκηση δημόσιας πολιτικής και η διοίκηση του ανθρώπινου δυναμικού. Το πρόγραμμα είναι διαρθρωμένο με τέτοιο τρόπο ώστε να δίνει τη δυνατότητα στους φοιτητές να εξειδικευτούν σε τομείς ιδιαίτερου ενδιαφέροντος, έχοντας ως υπόβαθρο τη γνώση ή/και την εμπειρία τους στη Δημόσια Διοίκηση
Oι διδακτορικοί φοιτητές που θα ολοκληρώσουν επιτυχώς το πρόγραμμα, θα έχουν τη δυνατότητα:

Admission to our University is granted under different categories, depending on the student’s qualifications and educational objectives.
Once accepted on the program, students are assigned three supervisors, one main and two secondary, who guide them throughout their studies. There are frequent progress reports to ensure students receive the guidance they need and that they are on track. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with their supervisors at regular intervals. After the course(s) is/are completed successfully, students prepare a final research proposal, which is a detailed document of length 7.500-10.000 words that outlines their research plan, clearly showing theoretical contribution, and methodological approach suggested. When this is approved by the relevant committee, they proceed with their research and register for their thesis.
Starting dates for enrolling on the programs are Fall (October) and Spring (February). The application deadlines are August 31st for Fall entry and January 5th for Spring entry. Specific positions available (by department and by faculty member) are announced on the website, and interested students are advised to check the website regularly for possible new announced positions. To be considered for entry on the doctoral programs the applicant should complete an online application form and submits an initial research proposal. The research proposal is a significant part of the application.

The tuition of €15,000 shown above represents total tuition for 3 years. For each additional academic year
(maximum 3 years), the tuition is €2,000 per year.
