The MA in Special (Inclusive) Education Sciences at EUC equips educators with innovative teaching methods and the ability to tailor instruction to students with special needs. You learn how to assess student needs, implement individualized interventions and apply evidence-based practices to real-world situations. Emphasis is placed on the creation of learning environments and classroom management techniques necessary when teaching students who face a variety of challenges, including intellectual, emotional and learning disabilities. You may choose from electives that include the integration of technology in special education, assessment and education of children with autism and other psycho-emotional challenges and parent/family counseling. Supervised practice-teaching opportunities will give you real-world experience with this special population.
