In 1989, Papastavros founded the Papastavros Papagathangelou Foundation, which was mentioned above. It is a spiritual and charitable institution. The priest offered the foundation a community estate as well as the rights to all the books. In addition, on this estate, he erected a Chapel, dedicated to Agios Nektarios.
In the same estate, in 1995 a nursery school was built for children of both the community and the wider area. The station began its operation on December 28, 1997. At the inauguration of the station, Papastavros expressed "his noble vision and his holy desire". Without a doubt, the construction of the station is one of the most important projects that took place in the community, as it provided significant help to working mothers.
Preschool age is the most tender and sensitive period in a person's life. Its aim is to complement the work of the family and the general education of the child, within contexts adapted to his age and needs.
The qualified and experienced staff ensures the smooth integration of your child into the school environment and his pleasant stay in it by "touching" his uniqueness.
The Childcare Center consists of 3 departments and opens from 6:45 in the morning until 5:00 p.m. afternoon. Specifically, the departments in question are the Public, Community and 2-year Department.
The Center for the Protection and Employment of Children also operates i.e. the Children's Club. The Children's Club operates for primary school children from 1pm. until 5 p.m. when children eat lunch and read their lessons.
The Station has a cook who cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner for the children every day. It also has School Assistants and a Guide-Administrator.
The management and staff of the Children's Center assure that the purpose of their work is to work responsibly and conscientiously, to ensure children a calm and pleasant learning environment, full of challenges and stimuli.
