European University Cyprus is the first university in Cyprus and Greece to be rated by QS TOP UNIVERSITIES (QS Stars)—which ranks many of the most prestigious universities in the United States, Canada and Europe—placing EUC among the top universities in the world on the basis of its performance in several categories.
The QS Stars University Rating evaluates an institution on 50 different indicators and awards universities between one and five stars in a range of fields.
European University Cyprus has been assessed with the highest distinction of 5 Stars in Teaching, Facilities, Inclusiveness, Employability, Social Responsibility and Internationalization.
European University Cyprus is the first university in Cyprus to be rated by QS Top Universities (QS stars) with the highest distinction of five stars in Employability. Our Career Center’s strong industry links, our competitive internship programs and our self-development programs which build our students’ competencies and skills contribute to a remarkable 87% graduate employment rate in jobs related to their field of study within six months of graduation.

European University Cyprus is ranked among the world’s top 101+ universities in the 2020 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings with regard to two key sectors: Innovation, Industry and Infrastructure and Actions on Climate Change.
Using the United Nations’ criteria on Sustainable Development Goals the Times Higher Education Rankings assess universities on an annual basis in a range of categories.
European University Cyprus has excelled in these two categories, in the first, for its research on industry and innovation, the number of patents and spin-off companies and its research income from industry, and, in the second, for its research on climate change, its use of energy and its preparations for dealing with the consequences of climate change.
It is worth noting that for the criteria relating to the creation of spin-off companies, the capacity to generate research income from industry and the number of students securing employment placements European University Cyprus was assessed with a perfect score.
This is the second year running that European University Cyprus has been listed in the top 101 universities in these two categories.
