The MA in Education Sciences at EUC prepares teachers and education leaders to work with toddlers and preschoolers in their formative years. The program offers professional educators theoretical knowledge, hands-on skills and innovative teaching methods using current educational developments and new learning technologies. Students are exposed to specialized theory and research in their field and are equipped to conduct research based on current developments, practices and trends on a local and international level. The MA degree allows our graduates to receive promotion points for the public sector employment through the new system of appointments of teachers in the public sector.

The criteria for admission to European University Cyprus have been set to enable the Office of Admissions to select students who have the ability to do university-level work and to place students in courses and programs appropriate to their academic strengths, in an effort to help them successfully realize their full academic potential.
Our students come from many parts of the world and bring with them a wide range of academic skills, experiences, special interests, talents and cultural backgrounds. The Office of Admissions aims to form a student body which will give the opportunity to each student to share education and grow in experience as a member of an international community.
All applicants must have completed a secondary (high) school education or twelve years of schooling or the equivalent, to be considered for admission to undergraduate study, or hold a bachelor’s degree for post-graduate study.
Candidates who have successfully completed part of their studies at an accredited university may be exempted from respective courses in the program they attend at European University Cyprus, thus reducing the period of study to obtain their degrees. For the evaluation of transferred courses, candidates must submit a copy of their transcripts to the Office of Admissions.

Knowledge of the English language is not a requirement for admission. At European University Cyprus, applicants whose native language is not English take the university’s English Placement Test (EPT) upon arrival at the university to indicate their English level and be placed in appropriate courses. Applicants who have passed either the TOEFL examination with a minimum score of 550 (213 computer-based, 79 Internet-based), English IGCSE with grade ‘C’ or above, or IELTS with a score of 6.5 or above are exempted from the EPT. Other external exams may be accepted by the Language Center of the University as equivalent. Please consult with the Office of Admissions for more details. Candidates, whose English proficiency is not up to the university’s standard, have the opportunity to take additional English language classes according to their degree requirements.
